Welcome, digital artists! In this section, we’ll address all the questions you might have about the Prompt Builder workflow.

What’s the difference between the Basic and PRO versions?

The PRO version includes everything in the Basic version and adds powerful features to enhance and speed up your prompt creation:

Presets: Ready builder setups with example outcome images.
ChatGPT Button: Generate infinite prompt variations for Midjourney and other text-to-image AI generators.
Full Customization: Add up to 10 options to each dropdown list.
Bulk Prompting: Create up to 26 different jobs from one prompt.
Multiple Selection: Choose several options from specific dropdown lists.
Reset All Button: Clear all selections with one click.
Save Prompt Button: Save prompts for later use.
Additional Features: More dropdown lists, extended parameters, and fields for generic, character, and style image reference links.

How do I start using my builder?

To get started with your Prompt Builder:

Open the Prompt Builder in Google Sheets and ensure you’re logged into your Google account.
Go to File > Make a copy, choose a folder on your Google Drive, and rename the file if necessary.

Work only in your copy of the Prompt Builder; otherwise, the dropdown lists won’t function properly. For more information, please read the Prompt Builder Basics guide.

Why do I receive an “Unsafe” notification from Google when using the buttons?

You might see a warning that the script is not verified by Google, labeling it as unsafe. This issue affects PRO users only. Google requires script verification, which includes having a website and usage policies. We are actively working on meeting these requirements.

In practice, there’s nothing to worry about. After you press “Allow,” the script will have permission to view and manage spreadsheets where this application has been installed (meaning all PRO Builders from us, and nothing else). You can find more detailed information in the PRO version guide.

Does the Prompt Builder work in Microsoft Excel?

No, the Prompt Builders do not work with other spreadsheet tools.

Can I use the Prompt Builder on a smartphone?

For Basic versions, yes. However, PRO versions are not recommended for mobile use. The mobile version of Google Sheets is limited and doesn’t support the scripts needed for PRO features. We’ve explored several solutions, but none provided a satisfactory user experience. Currently, most PRO features are not supported on mobile.

Are the prompts from the Prompt Builder usable with other text-to-image AI generators?

All Prompt Builders are initially designed for Midjourney due to its complexity and versatility. However, the prompts can be adapted for use with other text-to-image AI generators, but with some considerations:

Avoid using the Parameters block: This section of the prompt is exclusive to Midjourney. Other AI tools do not support Midjourney-specific parameters, so it's best to omit this part when using prompts with different generators.
Different AI tools, different outcomes: Be aware that each AI generator is trained on its own dataset, leading to varying results even when using the same prompt. For example:

DALL-E 3: When using DALL-E 3, you may notice that it often ignores complex style instructions. Additionally, DALL-E has strict limitations on creating images with copyrighted objects or styles. For instance, while Midjourney can generate an image of a Barbie-like character, DALL-E will likely refuse to perform this task due to copyright restrictions.
Leonardo AI: We’ve tested the free version of Leonardo AI and found that it excels in detailed object creation but struggles with style and color. Leonardo AI uses models instead of styles, and it has a specific workflow for handling colors through the "Add Elements" function. For these reasons, we recommend using Leonardo AI primarily for object-based designs rather than for intricate styles.
Ideogram and Flux.1: These AI tools show strong compatibility with our Prompt Builders, especially when the prompts are enhanced with ChatGPT. They handle a wide range of styles and themes effectively, making them good alternatives for Midjourney.

In the guide for each particular Prompt Builder, we provide additional details on how well the theme works with other AI tools. For instance, DALL-E tends to struggle with photorealistic images of people, such as mockups with human figures, but it performs well with object-only mockups. We've tested each theme with different AI tools and offer specific recommendations in every Prompt Builder guide.

We encourage users to experiment with other AI generators and provide feedback, as this will help us refine our guides and improve compatibility.

What prerequisites do I need to start using a Prompt Builder?

All you need is a free Google account to use the Prompt Builder and create prompts. The “Enhance with ChatGPT” button (PRO) does not require a ChatGPT account or subscription - it’s handled on our side. To create images from the prompts, you’ll need an account and subscription with your chosen text-to-image AI generator.

Can I resell your products? What are the commercial use terms?

Images: You can use all your AI creations for personal and commercial purposes. Still, be aware of Mijourney (or other text-to-image AI generator) and copyright limitations.
Prompts: You can sell all the prompts created with the Prompt Builder without limitations.
Prompt Builders: You are not allowed to resell, distribute, or share the Prompt Builder or its parts, whether modified or not, for commercial or non-commercial purposes.
Non-Commercial Modifications: You are allowed to modify the Prompt Builder’s code for personal, non-commercial use only. These modifications must remain for your personal use only.
