Clipart Prompt Builder overview
This updated version of the Clipart Prompt Builder is structured into four main sections: Format, Object, Color & Style, and Midjourney Parameters. Users choose from dropdowns or enter custom text to define the look of their artwork. Based on these inputs, a complete prompt is built automatically in the Result Prompt cell. For full guidance, check the Instructions and Visual Examples sheets - and don’t miss the Workshop segment in the video tutorial.
The builder defaults to “clipart” format and “white” background - ideal for creating transparent PNGs after removing the background. Currently, only ChatGPT 4o can generate images with a transparent background directly; other AI tools still require manual background removal.
The PRO version includes several advanced features:
- “Enhance with ChatGPT” button to rewrite prompts for better results
- Extra dropdowns for detailed styling
- Extended parameter options for fine-tuning outputs
- Customization table on the right side of the sheet allowing you to add options to all dropdowns

Visual Examples
This separate sheet in the Prompt Builder file is packed with inspiration. It showcases example results from all 8 curated Presets, a variety of Digital product types, Main styles, and Additional styles - each paired with visuals to spark ideas and kickstart your prompting. You’ll see how to create watercolor or vector clipart, explore different cartoon styles, and experiment with boho, steampunk, and more.
ChatGPT 4o, Bing (Dall-E), Ideogram, and Leonardo
(Other text-to-image AI generators’ outcomes)
Each AI generator interprets prompts in its own way, based on how it was trained. In the clipart domain, Midjourney remains a good choice for high-quality results. However, other AI tools also have their unique strengths:
- ChatGPT 4o (Dall-E): Stands out with the ability to create images on transparent backgrounds, a huge plus for clipart and sticker work. Offers solid variety in visual styles and allows conversational tweaks. The downside: image generation is slower than competitors. Also, for now it still creates images with the Dall-E model, applying 4o only as a brain for image creation.
- Bing (Dall-E): Can handle vector-like images, but has a more limited and somewhat dated style pool. While functional, the image quality is lower overall compared to newer tools.
- Ideogram: A rising favorite. Excels at trendy clipart and sticker designs with wide stylistic diversity. Very suitable for POD and realistic visuals, though in photo cliparts removing backgrounds can be a challenge. The downside: with Magic Prompt On it tends to add texts to the majority of images even if it’s not mentioned in the prompt.
- Leonardo: Free to try and versatile, especially great for anime-style assets. Still its clipart quality doesn’t always match that of competitors.
Improving Results Across Platforms
To get the best output from all platforms, use the “Enhance with ChatGPT” button in the PRO version. It reformulates your prompt to better suit the understanding of other image generators.

The Visual Examples sheet isn’t just a reference - it’s packed with basic prompt ideas to kick off your creative flow. Use them as templates or inspiration for your first designs.
Also, the Clipart 2.0 includes 8 presets, each carefully curated to act as a professional prompt starting point. In the PRO version selecting one fills in all dropdowns automatically, which you can further tweak to match your vision. Screenshots in the Visual Examples tab also show the final image results for each preset. If you’re using the BASIC version, you can still copy and paste these prompts manually from the sheet into your favorite AI tool and adjust the details as needed.
